New Book

General NewsHere is an online view of my book: Vision Thru My Shutter. Printed by Mpix in Nov. 2008. Available for sale thru me for $40, with front cover, plus $5 shipping. Hardbound and a great book of various photographic work. There are 8 books available from me.

Online viewing thru late Jan-Feb 2009

The printed version is definitely better than the online book. Mpix did an awesome job with printing, on archival safe paper. (Shipping was fast as well.) It would make a great gift for someone throughout the year. I know it's alittle too late for this Christmas though. All books will be autographed. Enjoy!!

I'm thinking of printing some soft cover editions of my work for less money, due to the economy. I did this before all went downhill with bail outs and job losses. We can only hope and pray for a recovery soon.

New Year's Upon Us Again

General NewsWOW--so many things have happened in the past few weeks. The latest thing is the huge amount of snow that Portland and mid valley got this past week and a half. Sadness continues in our hearts for the recent bombing at West Coast bank and loss of 2 lives and injuries to 2 others. (See previous blog for story). Joy that Christmas was here, with lights and presents and Christmas music. I'm still playing it becuz it's only a short period of time to hear it. Of course, since I'm at home, I can play it whenever I want!

Baby, it's cold outside!!

General NewsYes, it's been freezing all day and probably the rest of the week. We got about 2" of snow Sunday and ice underneath. Driving and walkingis hazardous. No fun!!! But the snow is pretty!!
I refilled the suet feeder on Sat. cuz I knew it was going to get cold. There sure was alot of bird activity today. Small birds, like nuthatches and maybe sparrows came. Then there were the bigger birds, european starlings, grackles and red shafted flicker. I was able to capture some in camera. I stood outside my front door for about 5 min. without a coat on. BBRRR!!! Came back in, glad for the sweatshirt!!

Leaves Are Falling but I'm Still Around!

General NewsHere I am again! Looks like people are still reading my blogs. Why I can't be more consistent in updating my blogs escapes me!! But I'm alive and well on planet earth. Just started working on some of my Christmas cards this afternoon. Thanksgiving will be here in just a few days. Not much mentioned about that any more. Rarely see cards for them. One store was all out yesterday and only had a few spaces for them. We should always be thankful for our lives, good or bad. We can thank our God for his goodness to us.

Christmas is Near!!

General NewsLong ago and far away there was a photographer that had a website but forgot to write and update her friends. Where did she go? Did she go on a photo shoot and never come back? Did she become pixelated?

Back again and updated

General NewsGreetings my friends. I have had a hiatus writing to you. I have added photos from our trip to Tennessee just today. I need to fine tune it as in adding more photos. Hopefully by the end of week that will happen.
You will notice Ticklish, a beanie baby bear is in alot of photos. This bear was bought to take with us on the trip. I sent photos of Ticklish and interesting photos along with the bear to a lady I was sending cards to. She was going thru chemotherapy and I in turn was uplifting her with cards and sometimes a gift here and there. I got the photo album to her just a few weeks before she died. But she had the chance to enjoy the photos. I'm glad I did what the urging feeling was saying to me. Now her daughter is enjoying the bear and photos. This organization I'm part is called Chemo Angels. You can learn more about it at www.chemoangels.net
Well, I'll chat with you later as I have some jeans to hem up. They are always 2-3" too long. Then I procrastinate getting them hemmed. Sew I will write soon. Have a good fall season. It's raining here, leaves falling and spiders appearing!! God bless, Becky

There's so much going on that it's time to take a breather and get my website up to date!! That's a good enough thing to keep up with. Sorry to keep you all in the dark when the sun is shining.

Flowers and Birds Arrive

General News I just spent some time outside taking photos of my tulips and pansies that are in a pot together. They are so pretty I couldn't resist photographing them. Also photographed the bird's nest (robin, I think) that's assembled between the downspout and V part of wood on our garage.

Life Events

General NewsEvents in the past few months have hampered me from posting an update. We just had to roll with the punches, as the saying goes, when life doesn't turn out the way we would like it to be.
