US Gov't needs to attend Dave Ramsey's FPU...
Think about that - nearly 50 cents of every dollar the US Government spends this year will be borrowed.
You couldn't live like that - I couldn't live like that.
We'd probably end up in jail.
Jeff Shultz - world traveler?
Well... sort of. Some of these - particularly Australia - are planned trips. I'm not entirely sure why it looks like I'm planning a trip to Guantanamo Bay though....

Happy Tax Day!
Since a picture says a thousand words - I'll let one do just that:

Obama's got a debt to our future.
Conficker Eye Chart
Wondering if your computer might be infected with the Conficker/Downldup worm that's been getting so much publicity lately? Here is a simple check - working off the the fact that one of the things that the worm does is block access to many anti-virus websites, Joe Stewart of SecureWorks has come up with a simple eye chart.
Click on the graphic below to go to the eyechart - and hope that you see the entire chart. Full instructions and explanation are on that page.
Incidentally, the three symbols on the bottom row are for OpenBSD (the blowfish), Linux (the penguin), and FreeBSD (the devil). All three of which are, of course, completely immune to the virus.
A distinguished visitor...
The Shultz Haus had a distinguished guest drop by the other evening - so of course I got some photos:

I felt something like a paparazzi shooting this at full zoom from about 100+ yards (slant distance) away.
My new Tool - ASUS Eee PC 1000HA
I just got a new toy tool - it's an ASUS Eee PC 1000HA Netbook. Cute little thing, it has a 10.1" screen and is very, very lightweight. 160GB hard drive, but no optical drives, so if I ever want to turn it into a DVD player, I'll need an external drive.
Fark: Obama not the Messiah.
Courtesy of FARK, possibly the best line of the month:
Newest Obama appointee's office raided by FBI.
Left finally comes to terms that Obama is not Jesus.
Jesus could actually build a cabinet.
A minor redesign
If you happened to be looking at the website Friday night, which I doubt, you might have seen some stuff changing around.
It was upgrade & update night here at Shultz Infosystems. My two photo gallery's got upgraded to their current versions (Gallery 2.3 (non-linkable) and Gallery 1.6 (linkable) respectively) and Drupal received it's latest upgrade to 6.9.
Additionally, I'm adding a few addtional modules to the Drupal install - click on the Gallery Link to the left for an example. You might notice some other stuff popping up here and there as well....
KATU vs. Dish Network
Update 2: The plot thickens somewhat. This is all of Fisher Communications - 2 Stations in Seattle, two in Yakima, WA, two in Bakersfield, one in Portland, one in Eugene, and a couple in Idaho. And Fisher has filed suit against Dish in Federal District Court in Oregon - it appears that Dish has some explaining to do.
Update: It appears I'm not the only one annoyed.
We've got Dish Satellite TV because the local cable franchise (make that pretty much all cable franchises) sucks. We've got the local programming option - I think it costs us about $4.95 a month.
Up until this morning, as part of that local programming, we had KATU Channel 2, the local ABC affilliate. No longer.... they're in a contract dispute with Dish over how much Dish pays them to carry their signal (which, remember, is provided over the air for free) as well as (according to Dish) other unspecified "unreasonable demands."
